Nicola qualified as a solicitor in 1996 and has specialised in incapacity and the law since 2002. She can advise on wills, trusts and powers of attorney. She acts as a professional financial guardian and is appointed by local authorities and in private applications. She is co-author of Adult Protection and the Law in Scotland (Third Edition) (Bloomsbury Professional).

Sophie Dobson

Sophie advises on a broad range of private client matters including estate planning, wills, powers of attorney, trust and estate administration. She has a particular interest in helping clients who have received compensation and wish to set up a personal injury trust. With 20 years’ experience in the field, Sophie is a Law Society of Scotland Accredited Paralegal (specialising in Wills, Trusts & Executries).

Iain is a specialist in the field of education law, with particular expertise and interest in additional support needs law and the Equality Act 2010 as it applies to education. He is a trustee of the Scottish Commission for People with Learning Disabilities (SCLD). He is the divisional editor (education) for W. Green’s Scottish Social Work Legislation service.
